Practice Information and Season Information

Contact Practice Starts = July 2024

Regular Season Start = August 2024

End of Regular Season = November 2024

Practices in July will be 5 days a week, between the hours of 6:00pm-8:00pm. After opening weekend (August 2024, the practice schedule is 2-3 times a week; same hours. These schedules are subject to change, depending on coaches and availability of the field.)

Our Football League - Northwest Blue Eagles Youth Football

Currently the Northwest Blue Eagles are members of the TCYFL!!!!! NW Blue Eagles Football's home for the 2024 Football Season will be TCYFL and America's largest Independant Youth Football League.

Pete's Bio

Pete has been coaching football for over 35 years.  He started his career at Portage Park when it was the biggest and best program in the city of Chicago.  He moved on to coach high school football with stops at Holy Cross, Chicago Academy and ending at Guerin Prep.  He has seen his players succeed on and off the field.  He stresses academics first before anything.  One of his favorite quotes “A good coach can change a game.  A great coach can change a life” – John Wooden

Mychael's Bio

Mychael Ramos is the Director of Football Operations. He will be responsible for the management and administration of all football operations in the organization, this includes player personnel, scouting, coaching, game day operations, and working closely with the coaches in all areas of the football program. 

Mychael has 15+ years of football experience from playing to coaching. His love and passion for football began at a young age in the 5th grade, playing for Amundsen Park Windy City Dolphins. All throughout high school at Lincoln Park high school and up until college at Rockford University and Concordia University Chicago.  After his years of playing Mychael Ramos began his coaching career at the age of 18, teaching flag football teams for the Chicago park district. Then became a head coach in 2012 at Farragut High School for 1 year. Shortly that same year Mychael was selected as a police officer in October 2012 to present day. Mychael is an exemplary police officer and has received numerous awards and commendations for his work ethic, professionalism and compassion.

Jonathan  De Jesus

Middleweight Head Coach

Jonathan's Bio

Jonathan De Jesus has been helping young people reach their goals since 2008. Far more than a football coach, he has aspirations into realities through careful planning & training. He started his career as assistant head coach to the nationally ranked Shabbona Saints youth football organization, leading the saints to an incredible record of 36-3 while holding 4 Chicagoland Championships and 2 National Championships.

In 2016 Coach Jonathan was hired as J.V. Assistant Head Coach and as head athlete Recruiter for Guerin College Preparatory High School, in his first year he assisted his Head Coach Charlie Miserendino to an incredible undefeated 7-0 season. Jonathan followed this season by recruiting 35 experienced players and families to continue the journey of winning and success. He would also find himself counseling players and families, helping them to set goals and action plans. He worked for 3 years with players and families to identify potential problems such as poor academic performance, social troubles, financial issues, and other issues facing young high schoolers. His favorite part of his job was motivating his players to thrive to be better than they thought they could be.

As Assistant head coach of football, Jonathan helped managed six other coaches while also taking on coaching duties himself, He helped Players identify goals that they hope to pursue, helping them create a timeline and form to-do lists, and has a system for reminding and rewarding players to achieve their goals. He has helped over 100 players to date.

Jonathan is also the founder of J & J express & Co- Founder of Integrated Transit, a transportation business that specializes in private and corporate events, with a small fleet of limos, shuttle bus/vans & party bus, with over 2 decades of successful experience & leadership. He demonstrated a record of accomplishment of maintaining daily operations, managing a team of 10 employees/ professional drivers.

In addition, Jonathan is currently employed by the department of human resources for the State of Illinois as a Mental Health Technician Tech 2 to for the last nine and half years. He is direct care staff for patients with developmental & intellectual disabilities. He manages patient supervision in a treatment or educational milieu; maintains a safe, therapeutic, and secure environment that enhances treatment and/or educational effectiveness.

Charlie Miserendino

Charlie Miserendino

Featherweight Head Coach

Charlie's Bio

Coach Charlie’s football career started at a young age. In 2001, Coach Charlie was the starting QB at Holy Cross Highschool. He was outstanding in the classroom as well as on the football field.

After his playing career, Coach Charlie served 5 years as the Offensive Coordinator of the UYFL at Portage Park, in Chicago. Coach Charlie earned his team 3 Chicagoland Championships and 1 National Championship. Coach Charlie and a few of his starting teammates left Portage and took over Shabbona Park. Coach Charlie became the Offensive Coordinator of the nationally ranked Shabbona Saints youth football team. He led the Saints to an overall 36-3 record while holding 4 Chicagoland Championships and 3 National Championships. His determination at a young age has proven success amongst his peers and the youth he coaches. The players who survived his drive became deeply loyal to him. 18 players and families from his youth National Championship team decided to follow him to the next journey, High School. 

In 2016 Coach Charlie was hired as the J.V. Head Coach at Guerin Prep High School. His first year there, he led his team to an undefeated 7-0 season. Charlie imposed an unusually strenuous regimen on his players, most of whom had been accustomed to defeat. The players who survived his drive became deeply loyal to him. Coach Charlie excelled as a motivator rather than as an innovator; his teams were known for winning. His mission at Guerin was to develop young men of character and integrity within a culture of excellence. With over 15 years of experience, Coach Charlie looks forward to any new challenges thrown his way.

Coach Charlie is widely dignified for his views on what hard work and winning looks like. He is currently the Senior Manager of Sales at his company for the last 8 years. Coach Charlie takes pride in all of his accomplishments and is a great example to young men and women. Coach Charlie currently is coaching the 8/9U level at Oriole park and has a very well know presence in the football community here on the North Side of Chicago from, park program to high school programs.

Joey Perez

Joey's Bio

Coach Joey has been around the game of football his whole life. He was a former football player for 12 years. He started at the age of 6 and played until his senior year of high school. Throughout his playing career, he has played multiple different positions like Running Back, Linebacker, and Defensive Back. 

This is going to be Joey’s second year of coaching, last year being his first. He loves being around the kids and expanding their knowledge of the game. Though he hasn’t been a coach for long, Coach Joey is motivated to better himself as well as his players every day. Along with that, he seeks to be a role model in each of his players lives.

Being around the game for so long, Joey knows what it takes to build a good team and community. Though Coach Joey strives to win, he also stresses the importance of having fun, creating lifetime friends and memories. He is excited for the opportunity and can’t wait to get to work.

Coach Dulo is an active community organizer, who has a love for football and teaching Chicago youth.
